Born in the historic neighborhood of Zaina Kadal, Kashmir, Umar Farooq represents a deep, continuous lineage of master artisans. From an early age, training began under the strict tutelage of family elders.

For decades, Umar Farooq has refined the art of Copperware, focusing specifically on the Forging stage of production. Forges and melts raw copper over an intensely hot open fire. The workshop remains a sanctuary of traditional methods, where ancestral knowledge is preserved.
