Rifat Ara

Born in the historic neighborhood of Srinagar, Kashmir, Rifat Ara represents a deep, continuous lineage of master artisans. From an early age, training began under the strict tutelage of family elders.

For decades, Rifat Ara has refined the art of Embroidery, focusing specifically on the Crewel stage of production. Executes Crewel work using a hooked Aari needle on a wooden frame. The workshop remains a sanctuary of traditional methods, where ancestral knowledge is preserved.
