Ghulam Hassan

Born in the historic neighborhood of Kanihama, Kashmir, Ghulam Hassan represents a deep, continuous lineage of master artisans. From an early age, training began under the strict tutelage of family elders.

For decades, Ghulam Hassan has refined the art of Pashmina, focusing specifically on the Weaving stage of production. A Padma Shri awardee for his unmatched skill on the Kani handloom. The workshop remains a sanctuary of traditional methods, where ancestral knowledge is preserved.
