Fatima Begum

Born in the historic neighborhood of Nowhatta, Kashmir, Fatima Begum represents a deep, continuous lineage of master artisans. From an early age, training began under the strict tutelage of family elders.

For decades, Fatima Begum has refined the art of Embroidery, focusing specifically on the Sozni stage of production. Performs microscopic Sozni fine needlework on delicate shawls. The workshop remains a sanctuary of traditional methods, where ancestral knowledge is preserved.
